Remarkable Achievement for DPS International in the 2024 National Spelling Bee Competition - 2nd Place.

DPS International Ghana recently made an indelible mark in the realm of academic excellence by securing an impressive second place in the highly competitive National Spelling Bee Competition held at Christ the King Parish Hall, Cantonments.

Out of the 99 finalists who qualified nationwide, 3 were from DPSI:
1. 32 – Edem Woka
2. 58 – Kojo Owusu-Ansah
3. 69 – N’Adom Darko-Asare

At the end of the fiercely contested competition, N’Adom Darko-Asare (the 2022 & 2023 winner) secured the distinguished position of second place.
Edem Woka and Kojo Owusu-Ansah also demonstrated extraordinary prowess, leaving spectators in awe.

N’Adom Darko-Asare is set to represent the whole Africa in Maryland, USA for the Scripps National Spelling Bee on May 26, 2024.

The DPSI Head Coach for Spelling Bee, Mr. Michael Mawutor Agordzo, in excitement, has said that this remarkable accomplishment is emblematic of the interminable dedication, intellectual acumen, and linguistic virtuosity disported by all three spellers after vigorous training sessions.

DPS International GHANA remains the only school in Ghana and in the entire African continent to have won the spelling bee competition two (2) consecutive times, and placing second position in the third attempt and this was achieved by N’Adom Darko-Asare.

Congratulations to all our spellers for this stellar performance in the National Spelling Bee Competition, solidifying our reputation as a center for educational excellence.
